Stig W. Jørgensen is a science fiction-fan and -expert. He has a ph.d. in computational linguistics, and worked as an academic for some years before becoming a freelance translator. He was very active in the Danish science fiction fandom in the 1980s, but can still occationally be seen at conventions. When he has time to spare, he sometimes writes science fiction short storys, some of which are published in various anthologies. In 2010 some of his articles about science fiction were published in the book Det Virtuelle Cocktailparty.
